Two drifters off to see the world…
The Blue Grotto is in Southeastern Malta where there are fishing villages as well as farming.
We’re doing a lot of sightseeing such of this in the first few months before the serious tourist season begins.
Having been to the Milan Ballet a week ago at the Mediterranean Conference Center, we decided to enjoy this venue again for the Foundation Day concert of the Malta Philharmonic.

I love seeing the orientation of your travels on the map! The blue grotto was fascinating! Practical me wonders if those rocks are secure and does anyone check that! The boat engine vibrations could easily loosen them…just saying!
The venue for the orchestra looks wonderful! Old/new mix in a beautifulway! By the way, The Moldau has Jewish roots. I asked AI and here’s their response!
The main theme of Bedřich Smetana’s The Moldau (Vltava) is not a Jewish folk tune, though it is famously identical to the melody of Hatikvah, the Israeli national anthem. Both pieces actually share a common ancestor: a 16th-century Italian folk song called “La Mantovana”.
